Great lunch! Again today I was totally impressed with our lovely waitress & the fabulous food. I had the quiche of the day with a salad & my hubby had "Chicken of the Gods" Panini. I dream about the house made potato chips. Can't wait to come back!

Alaina a huge thank you to you and your staff for making our One Year Cancer Free Party so much sweeter! The custom order Bacon & Bourbon and Mountain Dew cupcakes were a hit! Truly a little bite of heaven in each cupcake!

I've been dining at Alaina's for a little over a year. Their sandwiches, soup & cupcakes are super yummy! Honestly these are the best cupcakes in the area. My coworkers & I have all lunched there on a few occasions and the food is always on pount. I will mention that I've seen a very BIG improvement in service. I love everything about this place now :)

Started as a dream come true for the owner, Alaina takes a personal touch to every dish and bakery creation. Stop in for their lunch sandwiches and leave with some amazing desserts for later.

Very clean and inviting place. Tried to mini cupcakes (red velvet and chocolate lava) and it was good. Too much frosting but if you like that then this is your place. The sandwiches looked good and I would definitely come back to try that. They are located in same mall as Home Goods so there is plenty of parking.

Alaina's is one of my favorite places to eat. Everything is made from scratch and delicious. The cupcakes, pastries and desserts are to die for! The sandwiches... Forget about it. You won't find better sandwiches in Palm beach county. My favorite is the TBA. But my friends enjoy the fig'n delicious and the black & blue. Stop what you're doing and go try it. Right now.

This place is absolutely wonderful. I read some of the reviews on Yelp prior to going, and I'm glad I made the time to venture there while in West Palm. The café is in a quaint little plaza, but it was definitely bustling in there shortly after arriving. I got there just in time to beat the afternoon lunch rush hour (rush started around 12:30). I admitted to my server, Jaquelline, that it was my first time and she was super sweet/patient with me. I tend to get a little shy and flustered when I don't know a menu, but she made me feel very comfortable and welcomed. I ordered a latte (which I asked for with cream), and a side of spicy pickles as I wasn't too hungry but heard great things about them. Lemme tell you, those damn pickles are addicting! So yummy. I was tempted to get more but that delicious latte filled me right up. The decor in the café is simple and pleasant on the eye. Whites and woods. They have lovely dessert trays as accessories, and keep their cupcake display facing towards the entrance (smart!). I couldn't resist getting those of those sweet treats, as they are just perfectly advertised for anyone with a sweet tooth. So I got the latte, spicy pickles, and 6 beautiful mini cupcakes for less than $15 (excluding tip)... That's a deal, sweetened with a free cookie from the yelp offer! Because the café is on the smaller side and popular, I could see you finding yourself waiting for a bit if you have a larger party. At most, their tables accommodate a party of 4... maaaaybe 5 if you wanna be that lonely guy at the end. They do have smaller, date-perfect tables for a couple and some outdoor seating for a sunny day. Overall, I had a fantastic experience and would love to come back here with my friends. BONUS POINTS: They offer Truvia for your beverages. As someone who lives a ketogenic lifestyle, I was so thankful to see a Truvia packet with the other sugar substitutes. THANK YOU!

Poor customer service! Walked in to order a birthday cake and the owner Alaina gave such a bad attitude. She acted like she was doing us a favor by answering our questions and when I asked her a follow up questions she had the audacity to roll her eyes. If a customer is willing to spend $80 for a cake I think you need to have better customer service skills. Can just only imagine the customer service if this is what you get from the owner. You can get better cake, service and price from Publix Greenwise. They even made us a small sample of what the cake would taste like. Maybe Alaina should go work for Publix or take a class in customer service. I am shocked business can do this in today's competitive environment. Looks like this place is going to close somer than later as this is not the first time somebody is complained about Alaina the owner's attitude.

I went in to try cupcakes for parties I am having the lady on the register looked annoyed when I asked what cupcakes were on display. Then ignored me standing there and continued to talk to the other lady behind the register . I understand that it was near closing but why have your doors open if your just going to drive away potential clients ?

Great little gem! It's so nice to find a non-chain sandwich shoppe. Super friendly staff and the always immaculate. Can't go wrong with any of the sandwiches. The chicken salad is excellent and I love the mini muffin samples.

Alainas Bake Shoppe is a hidden treasure. It's the pefect secret for locals. The sandwiches and pasteries are outstanding. The apple turnover is to die for and my favorite sandwich is the "what the cluck" I have eaten in and have taken out and have had very good service.

I go to Alaina's bake shoppe for over a year now and I go whenever I get the chance. This place is amazing it really is. I've never once had an issue with my order or the staff. Every time I've gone in the staff is happy and attentive to my needs. I've never sensed any sort of tension or disagreement among the staff. I love to come here. Everything on the menu is absolutely delicious. All the sandwiches and desserts are just perfect. Somedays if you are their at the right time they will give out free mini muffins! YUM! My favorite thing on the menu is the chicken pesto panini and the mini vanilla cupcakes. My friend enjoys the roast beef panini and the mini red velvet cupcake. If anyone is considering stopping by this amazing place they really should. Also I found this out recently you can call in your order and pick up which is great if you are on the go.

Delicious food, horrible customer service! I placed a large order with Alaina's and when I picked it up, before even showing me the product, Alaina herself looked at me and said "do you have your payment?" No hello, greeting, forget a smile, just "where's my money?" Then, my friend ordered a wedding cake from her and she expected the bride to pick up her own cake on her wedding day! I've never heard of such a thing. Especially when she spent nearly $400 on the cake. When the bride asked for it to be delivered Alaina said, "I can't. I'm way too busy." What a shame.

I have been here a few times for lunch and the food is delicious. They make really great panini sandwiches that are extra good due to the homemade bread. The homemade chips and spicy pickles are also a nice treat. The last time we went I let the kids try a mini version of the signature cupcake and they loved it. It does get very busy so be ready to wait and at peak lunch time it is not easy to get a table but they do offer takeout. The service is ok but this last time they seemed to have a couple people helping out so it wasn't as bad as the last time I went. Overall a good experience!

I ordered an $80 cake for my sons birthday and the owner "Alaina" was so rude. We have been in a couple times for lunch and the food is good but the management and her unfriendly demeanor is such a turnoff.

I ran into Alaina's in order to, as a typical man type thing, get some last minute birthday cupcakes for my wife. I got to meet Alaina and I have to say that she is very friendly and kind. Even better, her cupcakes. Holy. Cow. My wife had the Oreo cupcake and I didn't get two words out of her during her sampling, just a roll of the eyes skyward in reverence. I had the almond cupcake and if my kids' fingers had been anywhere in the general vicinity we would have had some boys missing digits. I also shared a piece of the Key Lime cupcake and it was so good I could smell the Key West air and Ernest Hemingway's Stogey. The key lime cupcake actually had a gooey key lime deliciousness in the center. I must make it back to Alaina's as I have the foresight and willingness to avoid confrontation with my wife. I suggest you give her bakery a try too.

I've been wanting to try this place for a long time and finally did! I had the Caprese Panini with chips & dill pickle. If I could give it 6 stars, I would! I also tried the gingerbread cookie and that was so good too! The cupcakes in the showcase looked so yummy. But I was too full. Next time. ;) I can't wait to go back and try something else. The place is super cute...and very clean. I loved the presentation of the food and the service was fast and friendly. The owner, Alaina waited on us and was very nice. I'll definitely be recommending Alaina's! **Edited--because I filled out this review weeks ago, however I never confirmed my e-mail address so it didn't post. I've been back several times since and I am still loving this place. It's now my favorite spot. The Reese's peanut butter cup cakes are TO DIE FOR! Yum!!!

Fantastic food and service. Love the pig and a birdie sandwich! Spicy bread and butter pickles are so awesome, just wish they were a bit more generous with them. Cupcakes are probably in the top 5 I've ever had. Strawberry cupcakes soooo yummy. The cookies are unreal. Definitely will be back next visit to FL.

Weekend was very crowded. Stood at front counter to order and was not even greeted. After seating it took 20 minutes to get our coffees. Sandwiches were very good and the coffee was above average. Pastry chef does a great job. Owner was not very friendly and for this reason, and the long wait, for both seating and a check, I would not return. Recommendation-Go to Harold's, better service and coffee.

I could say Alaina's is good, but I don't want to sell them short. Located right off of Northlake, this bakery is worth the stop. Alaina's walls are a pastel blue, the floors are corner to corner hardwood, and the ceiling is two stories tall. The staff is comprised of family and friends, all of whom are personable, friendly, and knowledgeable of the offered baked goods. Their selection of edibles is large and growing larger each day. Today they released a new cupcake, a key lime pie cupcake complete with a graham cracker crust bottom. It's obvious that they took the time to perfect each pastry; their passion is expressed beautifully through their food. This is truly the only place in PBG I've found where everybody moves at a relaxed place. The environment of Alaina's does that. People don't come here for a quick meal. People come here to slow down, indulge in a panino, and enjoy each others company.

quiet bake shop that I would probably never have found if it wasnt for yelp.... cute little shop with cupcakes, pastries, scones, brownies.... got the mini key lime pie with graham cracker crust, tart and thick key lime filling topped with whipped cream and candied lime candy. it was tart and not too sweet. crust was yummy and crunchy.. brownie was chewy, soft, and chocolatey. nice sweet treat for the sweet tooth of mine!

What a horrible experience! I would not recommend Alaina's to anyone! Customer service was appalling from start to finish! After much research on bakeries in the area I decided to use Alaina to make a cake for a surprise birthday party. I hail from NY so communication was done entirely via phone, email and pdf. From the beginning I felt that the experience was going to be complicated from my interactions with Alaina. She always seemed as though I was inconveniencing her with my phone calls. I felt like this experience was not as fun as I had hoped it would be-- I mean designing a custom cake-- sounds amazing-- doesn't it? To make a VERY long story short. The cake fell apart 20 minutes after we left the shop. Literally, the entire top of the cake slid off leaving a hot mess that we tried to repair for the party. This cake was supposed to be displayed on a cake table alongside party favors and a sign-in board. Not to mention it was the central theme of the party. It was so disappointing-- and in the end couldn't be displayed because it looked horrible! I am not critiquing the quality of the baked goods- or the cost of $6.00 per slice for the cake. I was willing to pay it for it! I am only critiquing the customer service we received after the incident when we contacted the bake shoppe. I was offered another cake! I don't live in Florida, why would I want another cake?! In the end, I felt that the situation was not fairly resolved. Thumbs down for our defective cake and this entire experience.

Sandwich and chips were good. The bread was fresh which was really great, and I loved the grainy mustard. That being said, the service is a little awkward there. I got the feeling like the waitresses were very stressed out and they seemed to move pretty slowly. I also saw them get into an argument with each other which was uncomfortable for me as I was sitting right next to them. Some of the desserts look better than they taste. The chocolates were awful.

Such a. Ute place. The owner is adorable and so accomodating. I had the "fagetahboutit" sandwich for lunch and it was amazing. We of course had to get a cupcake so we got a reeses mini and heath bar big boy. They were both delicious. We will definitely be back and bring friends!

Stopped in with my daughter and her friend for a treat while prom dress shopping. My daughter had a raspberry bar and her friend had a lemon bar. Both girls raved about their treats! Everything in the case looked delicious. I can't wait to go back so we can try something else.

I've ordered a beautiful and tasty cake from here in the past and just yesterday I picked up a large catering order for a corporate event and I must say that everything from the cupcakes to the paninis are heavenly and a huge hit! And the cherry on top? Impeccable service ALWAYS! Thank you Alaina your shoppe will forever be my go to for pretty much everything !

Very good food. Fresh & tasty. The presentation was nice. Their baked goods look VERY yummy! I can't wait to go back and try other things. The owner, Alaina was there and spoke to us. She's friendly, personable, and very excited about her business.

I have eaten at Alaina's about a half dozen times. I even had her make my daughter's first birthday cake. Let me start off by saying that the food is delicious. They make really great panini sandwiches. That being said, the service is just horrendous. I came in today and brought a friend. I warned her before we got there that the service was slow and grumpy. We walked in and walked up to the counter. Without greeting or smiling, Alaina told us if we were dining in to have a seat. She waited on us and was just unfriendly, unhelpful and just looked overall annoyed that she had to deal with us. She was very busy and walked away mid question without asking us to hold on. She's like the soup nazi! And I've been a few times - she's been like this every time there is more than one person in the shop. I even witnessed an angry customer who was waiting by the counter forever - fuming with arms folded - get treated like dirt by and employee (I think it was related to the wait, but I can't be sure). Alaina checked in on him and only added fuel to the fire. I don't think she cares nor possesses the skills to diffuse the situation. We walked up to the cupcake case and none of the cupcakes were labeled. I asked if she could tell me what kind they were (again acting annoyed) she said she would in a minute (she was processing someone's bill). An employee walked over and explained what they were. It only took about 30 seconds but they still seemed terribly inconvenienced that a customer had the audacity to make an inquiry about food in their display case. Seriously?! Get a clue! My friend asked about the cupcakes a bit later and the employee explained the full sized cupcakes. Then my friend asked about the mini cupcakes and the employee said, "They're pretty much the same." Then she turned and walked away. Lol. Really? I guess we won't be buying any cupcakes. The cupcakes are pretty elaborate so you really can't tell what they are by looking at them. Oh - another fun thing - When I ordered my sandwich, Alaina asked which bread I'd like it on. I know she's the damn owner so I asked for her recommendation. Her helpful answer? "Whichever you think you'll like..." Ugh! And after my friend ordered her sandwich, Alaina stares at her and asks, "Your pickle?" My friend looked bewildered and asked her what she said. Alaina again says, "your pickle?" WTF!!!! So I interrupted and explained that you get to choose either a spicy or dill pickle with your sandwich. Yes, that info is on the double sided menu, but clearly this first time customer (and last time I'm sure) hadn't seen it. Oh well. Why do I reward her with my repeat business? I don't know. Their sandwiches are yummy and they're in the Homegoods plaza - so even if they're mean and act like total Bs when they wait on you, I can always go browsing at Homegoods to make me forget. Lol. Incidentally, I do find that their cupcakes are too sweet for my taste. I was hoping with time that she would settle in to being a new business owner and work out the kinks. I think this is a personality issue that is here to stay. Too bad. I hope she finds a way to improve her attitude. Word got around quickly about the good food. Word will eventually get around about the bad service.

Make no mistake, the sandwiches are delicious. Really, really good. But I'd bet the owner goes through her fair share of staff. She tries to be pleasant but you can tell it's just not natural. It's almost as if she hates dealing with people (customers included!). So her presence makes the whole place feel a little more on edge than it should. I was in once when they screwed up my order. No biggie. The owner came over and said she'd be glad to fix it "for an additional charge". WHAT?? I declined, of course. Penny wise and pound foolish.... The Food Network's restaurant makeover guy would re-assign her to the back, I'm sure. But I'll hold my nose and be back. The sandwiches are that good.

Lunch review (plus a cannoli or 3) We each ordered a signature sandwich from the menu. First thing to point out is that their bread to their chips are homemade. If it wasn't for my horrible memory I would have given you names and a detailed description but considering we each ordered something different and we each left fat and happy, I believe the other menu items are just as amazing. The shop was busy but we never felt neglected. The waitress was friendly and helpful. I did order a cannoli, ate it at the shop and then proceeded to order two more to go. I think that speaks for itself. I'll be back.

Frequent customer, live in the area. Food is great, fresh. Ordered a custom cake for a special occasion that was very delicious. I had one experience where the croutons with the soup had gone stale and a customer next to me found something in a sandwich that was spoiled. I have to agree with the service comments made here that it is at times an awkward environment in the restaurant. Although I keep returning for the food, I always feel as if I'm an inconvenience to be served. Kudos to them for their talents in the kitchen. However, I believe that they're new to the restaurant business and are trying to work through the nuances of service and quality control. If it weren't for their service "vibe", I would give this 5 stars. UPDATE: I wrote this review, drove to the restaurant to have lunch, only to walk up to one of the owners scolding an employee at the cash register about her treatment of another customer, while I, the customer was standing there 1 foot away from the conversation. Case in point about awkward vibe. Please, please, please, it's common sense with Service 101. Be smart. That's a private conversation. Your customers do NOT want to see or hear this. The lunch tasted great.

Just checked out Alaina's. It is adorable! Love the atmosphere, Alaina is as sweet as can be and the baked goods are fantastic! I got a sampler of cookies - chocolate chip, peanut butter, oatmeal raisin and PB/choc chip - but saw brownies, cupcakes, coffee cake, and lots of other goodies! The cookies just have that look of "this is going to be amazing." The kind you put out on the counter and totally pretend you made.. There were also super cute decorated cookies which looked perfect for a party, shower, etc. There was family working which I love as I'm all about local/family-run businesses. I'm so excited they're open as I always need a "go to" bakery.. Definitely recommend making a trip!

By far, the most delicious cupcakes I have tasted since the cupcake "frenzy" began!!! Much better than the popular cupcake store we have in NY. The cake was light and moist and the frosting had just the right amount of sweetness. Will definitely go back to try more menu items next time I am in WPB.

Food is good, different; service is not good and always chaotic. After looking over my bank statement, I discovered that for a recent visit I was charged 27.97 for a half sandwich and small bowl of soup . My companion and I paid separately at the time, with separate cards and each signing a separate receipt. I returned a few weeks later to call this to her attention. After about 15+ minutes of her implying I was not telling the truth and looking for the transaction in her computer system, she indicated that my companion's charges were also charged to my account. She printed me a receipt and told me to ask my companion to pay me back. I'm glad I wasn't part of a larger group. I will not be returning.

My sisters and I came here with my mom for her birthday and we couldn't have chosen a better place. Walking into Alaina's bake shoppe earlier today was like walking into a little part of heaven. A quaint little white shop with simple yet very tasteful decor and the sweet aroma of fresh baked goods filling the store was more than enough to get me hooked. I tried the chicken salad panini with raisins and pecans, while my sisters & mom had the turkey club panini with apples, bacon, ham, cold slaw and honey Dijon mustard. We savored every bite. The service was excellent and Alaina accommodated us very well, even singing "Happy Birthday" to my mom. We tried 4 delectable cupcakes that were baked to perfection and left us wanting more but we had to draw the line somewhere! :) We strongly recommend this bakery to anyone, absolutely delicious. Buddy Valastro has some competition!

Really good quality food, from baked goods to local roasted coffee to scrumptious paninis. You have to try this place! I had the soutwestern pork panini and finished my meal with an excellent BOLD macchiato.

I have to agree with all the other reviewers. Their sandwiches are excellent and the homemade potato chips with salt and pepper are amazing. My favorite is the pesto chicken sandwich. The prices are reasonable, the interior is charming, and the service is good. But, really, it's the food that is five stars.

Although I try to stay away from sweets this Bakery makes it just about impossible. The decor is simple and clean it makes you feel like you are in painting of a perfect bake shop. I have yet to try something from alaina that I haven't thoroughly enjoyed. Here are a some of my favorites; Sticky buns, crumb cake, the french toast cupcake with bacon frosting and the red velvet as well. There is an ingredient in all of her food that no other bakery i've ever been to can duplicate, it's a pinch of "a true love for baking". I had a sandwich from here as well and not only was it healthy it was surprisingly delicious. I'm sure my home town of PBG will enjoy and support this amazing bake shoppe for years to come.

The shoppe is cute and the food is good but there a couple downfalls. The girls on the staff always appear to be stressed out and overwhelmed. Also, they're a little pricey- I got peanut butter and jellys with lemonade for my kids and the pb&js were $8 and the lemonades were over $4 (each!) so the meal I could have easily made at home for my children cost me over $24. Had I known I was going to spend that much I would've just taken them to the Cheesecake Factory.

I highly recommend Alaina's Bake Shoppe & Cafe. The food is amazing. You are immediately lured in with the display cases of signature cupcakes and sweet treats but there is so much more to offer. Small little local business that deserves your support. Fresh, quality ingredients with organic options. The FIG N DELICIOUS sandwich & TWO PIGS AND A BIRD are outstanding!!! Not to mention the French Toast & Bacon cupcake! YUM-O!!! And, there are always a few samples available while they take your order too! We will continue to try everything on the menu.

Today was my first lunch at Alaina's. My mom raved about this place and it truly lived up to her hype. The atmosphere is adorable; the service is friendly and the menu - diverse, fresh and fabulous. With so many great options, it was challenging to make a decision. I went with the soup of the day, a veggie, and a half fig and prosciutto panini which was really more like a whole in terms of size. The soup was delicious and served at the perfect temperature. The panini melted in my mouth. My mom's chicken salad sandwich was also divine. Both of our meals came with a side of homemade potato chips which were also tasty but I avoided them to make room for one of Alaina's baked goods. After much deliberation, we split a banana chocolate square that was absolutely scrumptious as are I'm sure the rest of Alaina's tempting treats. I can't wait to go back!!

Well I just left Alaina's Bake Shoppe and Cafe for lunch and I will be back tomorrow!!! Best sandwich I have had in FL and the breads were as fresh as California! Sandwiches are creative, fresh and served with a yummy salad and great different toppings like fresh figs, Brie, apples, etc. & you must try the homemade potato chips. Sinful! Everything is organic and freshly made and don't even get me started on the actual desserts. I have 3 words... Oh MY GOD. Absolutely to die for!!!! I am so happy this cute cafe opened because it is the perfect option for a quick coffee meeting, fresh, delicious lunch, or just a nice family owned and run place to pick up dessert for the family or a party. And most importantly, the adorable owner Alaina and her cute husband run the place and make you feel at home and appreciated for stopping buy. The kind of local place you really want to support. Just hope we can get a table during season and the lines aren't out the door for their delicious cupcakes!!!!!! Seriously will be back tomorrow for lunch and for every coffee meeting in the future. Sorry Starbucks!

If you are looking for homemade amazing food and baked goods this is the place to go. I used Alaina's for my recent bridal shower tea party and she provided all of the mini bites (scones, lemon bars, mini muffins..) as well as the cupcakes. The pickup was ready right on time and she as well as her staff carried it out to the car for me. Her food is amazing and the cupcakes are the best I have ever had! Everyone at my shower could not get enough. I am also using her for my upcoming wedding and she did a private tasting for us after hours. If you stop in for lunch anything on the menu is amazing!

So excited about finding this little place. The store front is small but comfortable. The bakery window is full of tasty treats and the staff was all very friendly. The TV is tuned to the food network which is great. The prices are normal and the menu is mostly paninis and breakfast cafe. The quiche is literally the best thing I've eaten in weeks. The flaky crust, tender eggs, tangy cheese!! Heaven

I don't understand businesses that advertise their hours yet don't abide by them...very poor business practice. You advertise that you close at 4, I'm at your locked door at 3:40 with you all just sitting inside staring at me. & your website is advertising 7 pm. Very poor.

Sandwich shops have been my thing as of late! I stopped in and had a really great lunch with a friend. All of the deli sandwiches looked good, all of them! But I ultimately decided on the fuhgedaboutit(sp?) and a cup of potato soup. The sandwich was flavorful, fresh and really, really good. The soup was okay but not as memorable as the sandwich! All sandwiches are served with a side of spicy pickles and they are delicious. I COULD not leave without ordering some of the delicious desserts and would highly recommend it to locals and visitors looking for a delicious lunch with a sweeter ending!
